Aenon Partners & Collaborators
Our research, supply chain, and institutional partnerships provide the scientific, logistical, and regulatory foundation for AenoFeed SC-1 development.
Academic & Scientific Collaboration
The SNU Pyeongchang Campus animal science research facility is the venue for Aenon's first in-vivo validation trial (Q4 2026). The campus operates a livestock research unit with dairy cattle, beef cattle, and small ruminants, and has respiration chamber infrastructure for direct enteric methane measurement.
Site visit completed: AENON research team has visited SNU Pyeongchang Campus and confirmed trial infrastructure — respiration chambers, individual feeding stations, and livestock research unit are operationally confirmed for the planned trial. Trial design: 6-head crossover study in cattle; respiration chamber measurement of CH₄ and CO₂; feed intake, body weight as secondary outcomes.
⚑ No in-vivo data has been collected as of August 2026. SNU Pyeongchang has not endorsed AenoFeed SC-1.
The Korean Agricultural Culture Collection (KACC) is the national repository for agricultural microorganisms in Korea, operated by the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences (NAS) under the Rural Development Administration (RDA).
Aenon's fermentation strain Weissella cibaria KACC 92499P is formally deposited at KACC. The "P" suffix designates a patent strain deposit — meaning the strain is deposited specifically in connection with a patent application. The KACC 92499P registration number is independently verifiable through the KACC database at kacc.rda.go.kr.
KACC registration is a verifiable institutional fact — not a partnership claim. KACC/RDA has not endorsed AenoFeed SC-1.
Vietnam Seaweed Supply Network
Aenon sources both substrate species from commercial seaweed aquaculture operations in the Ninh Thuận and Khánh Hòa provinces of Vietnam — two of the world's largest producing regions for Eucheuma denticulatum (Spinosum) and Kappaphycus alvarezii (Cottonii).
Vietnam produces approximately 100,000–150,000 tonnes of dry seaweed per year from these two species, primarily for the carrageenan processing industry. Aenon's supply agreements operate alongside established carrageenan export channels, providing competitive raw material access.
The Korea–Vietnam supply chain — from aquaculture harvest through drying, export, and SSF processing — is referenced in KIPO patent claims 20–22.
Intellectual Property & Regulatory Engagement
Aenon has filed a patent application with the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) covering the SSF process, strain combination, substrate composition, and method of use for AenoFeed SC-1. The application includes 22 claims. Filing status: pending examination and grant.
